OBESITY HEALTH RISKS WEIGHT TABLES |
Obesity is a health risk for anyone in this condition. It is important to feel good about yourself no matter how much you weigh, or whatever addictions or weird habits you have, but clinically obese is a major risk factor that you don't want to expose yourself to.
Unless you do something about obesity, you will start having serious health problems. It doesn't matter how you look like or what you eat or how much you eat as long as you feel good about yourself, but any doctor you go to will tell you that you take a big chance continuing with your lifestyle. It's not good for your health and your body will start telling you that soon enough.
The risks involved in obesity are various and can lead to some serious health problems. Please note that these refer to obese people, and not to a bit overweight people. You are declared clinically obese when you weigh a lot more than recommended for your height and age and this is the stage where problems come in.
There are levels of obesity, from slightly obese to morbidly obese and depending on these problems are more or less serious. So, when do you know you are obese and what risks are you exposing yourself to?

From height and weight tables of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, 1983. The ideal weights given in these tables are for ages 25 to 59. The weights assume you are wearing shoes with 1-inch heels and indoor clothing weighing 3 pounds (women) and 5 pounds (men).
There are certainly a great number of risks you expose yourself if obese and you should, at least, be aware about obesity risks.
