HEALTHY EATING

One of the hardest things to stick to when following a weight loss program is to follow a healthy line and eating healthy. It might seem great eating fruit and vegetables or it might not... however, most definitly after a while your body will start craving after some of the old tasty meals. Is it possible to stick to a healthy eating plan?

Well, the answer is yes. You can stick to a healthy eating plan if you are a bit organized in terms of what you're eating. If you are strict with your diet, you'll be fine. Keep in mind that it's ok to slip up every now and then; the important thing is to be in control of your cravings and when you give in to be careful and aware of what you're doing and how you'll get out of it.

You can try the following during your weight loss plan:

Allow yourself a day off when you can eat whatever you want. This might turn out to be essential in order to make it through the weight loss program, as you might find yourself giving up because is too hard and everyone around you is eating the good stuff, while you're stuck with vegetables. Be careful on this day off, however, and try to control yourself as much as possible from stuffing yourself.

Accept your slip-ups when they occur because at some point you will slip up. It's only human to crave after some tasty meal or just one piece of cake. It's ok as long as you don't exaggerate and as long as you accept it. Accept the fact that once in a while you'll do that. Otherwise you might be overwhelmed with guilt, which usually leads to disappointment, to eating more food and you'll get stuck in this cycle for a long time. Accept your mistake and move on!

Snacking is good for you as long as what you're snacking on is healthy. Snacking on biscuits or crisps will put some weight on you, but if you're keeping yourself busy with seeds, nuts or fruit, then you'll be more than fine. Regular snacking makes the hungry sensation go away and fills the gaps between meals. It's not a good idea to starve yourself for long periods, so regular snacking is a good solution. However, you should be aware of what and how much you're snacking.

The bottom line here is that going through a weight loss program and a healthy diet is pretty tough and in order to succeed it is essential to be strict with yourself. When, however, you slip and have a bad day, you should accept it and get back on track. Be aware of how much damage you're doing, accept it, fix it and get on with losing weight.

If you feel that you can't go through with it anymore, there are Weight Loss Groups with people like you, where you can talk about your problem and see if others have a solution or if they went through the same thing you're going through right now.
