AVOID NEGATIVE THINKING

The easiest thing in life is by far QUITTING. To some people, this is a way of deal with things and problems in life and I know you can spot a quitter a mile away: from the way he/she is dressed (sloppy, dirty) to the way he/she make decisions.

It is so easy to quit when losing weight and we, people, have this amazing ability to tricking ourselves that we can't do this or that. Just think about your own excuses when you postpone or delay or quit something. I know mine: "don't feel like it", "too tired", "I don't have time to do that", etc. Just think about your excuse for a minute and you'll probably start laughing about what crap you come up to.

It's so easy to fall for that negative thinking about go back to eating junk food. Negative thinking is the factor that determines most people to quit losing weight simply because "I can't do it". At this point I'd like to ask your young ones or your best friend to slap you in the face. You definitly deserve it! Losing weight will be one of the greatest things you'll do and not only because it will be good for your health, but because - trust me when I say this - being in shape and toned will become an addiction!

Negative thinking is destructive and not only that lowers your self esteem, but it leads you to make wrong decisions and feeling worse that in the first place. It can cause a person to over eat and overindulge food they shouldn't exaggerate with because they feel bad about something and they think eating some chocolate, crisps, takeaways, etc will make them feel better. It won't!

Eating chocolate won't bring your boyfriend or girlfriend back if they left. Eating loads of crisps won't change your grades, won't bring back some lost object and won't make you slim if you feel overweight. On the contrary!

Controlling your thoughts is a major step and can make a great deal of difference in your way of life. By controlling your thoughts you should be able to stick to your losing weight plans or other things you might usually give up doing.

Try writing down your feelings and analyze them. You might feel discouraged or depressed, but do you really know how you feel? People find it easier to get out of problems if they write the problem down and think about it for a minute or two. You might see solutions that otherwise wouldn't have popped if you haven't sat down and really thought this through.

Encourage yourself every now and then. It might seem weird to go around the house saying to yourself: "Dude, you can do this!", but it's not what this is about. The point of this is to hear yourself saying that and making all those negative thoughts go away.

You might think you're too tired to take out the garbage. Try saying out loud: "I have to take out the garbage. It's stinking up the place!" and you might be surprised about the next thing you'll do. Same goes for losing weight and encouraging yourself. Say you long for a candy bar... try saying: "I'm going to eat that tomorrow as a reward for resisting the temptation today." I think you'll feel a lot better about yourself later that day. And the next day you can actually eat it, or you can try this again.

All I'm saying here is that you're losing weight for yourself after all. You're not doing this for your neighbors, but you'll definitely make them jealous or surprise them in a few weeks. You should see how proud you'll feel then.
