ADJUSTING EATING BEHAVIOUR |
There are plenty of diets out there that could keep us busy for the rest of our lives. There are diets that work for some people, there are some that don't work for everyone and there's the other special category of diets that won't work for anyone in a million years. The first two work or not simply because we're all different, if may say - unique. Some diets won't work on some types of genes and there are some that won't work because people can't adapt to them.
Dieting is not a way of reducing food amount to almost zero and no one plans them so that they will taste bad on purpose. The important thing to keep in mind when picking a diet is to find one diet that suits you, maybe one that someone else has tried successfully (even if this does not guarantee that it will work for you too) and do your best not to screw it up on purpose. Changing diets and going through them only makes it more difficult the next time.

| One very common excuse is: "I can't help myself. I'll eat a burger and give up..." First of all no one says you should eliminate types of food or that you're not allowed a treat every now and then. Just be honest with yourself and allow yourself to have a couple of bites from a hamburger or cake. Secondly, why not try preparing your own burger, but with a lot healthier ingredients than the ones in fast food places? Have your butcher grind some meat for you, |

get fresh salad and proceed to making your own HEALTHY burger.
Moderation and exercise are key words
Always moderate yourself and not only with food, but with drinks too, work and even sex. Don't go for the jumbo size, don't go for the large size, either. Eat moderately, eat healthy and get only enough energy to last for the day. Eating less than the jumbo size will make having sex easier, increase your sexual appetite, help you climb stairs easier and make you feel more vigorous.
Exercise and try to do it, in time, on a regular basis. Exercise increases blood flow through the body, helps you burn calories, lose weight and improves your health. Jog and benefit of clean air, let the sun recharge your batteries, see people on the street, make new friends (?).
Interesting facts
Studies show that 80% of the children with obese parents are obese themselves, while only 15% of the children with fit parents have this condition. It's an interesting study and, while genes definitely play an important part in our body's development, education, parental attention and social background also affect our life styles. If mommy and daddy eat 5 fat burgers and 2 jumbo fries, then it is subconsciously induced to the child that it is the normal amount. It will never cross his mind his parents can be wrong until he's twice the size of his school mates.
The psychological damage this condition has on a kind in high school is another great danger because it can make the individual resort to food to get comfort. Because that's what he likes, that's when he is peaceful; food doesn't call him names and will never point fingers. The parental care and attention is crucial; ignorance is not a solution because parents may do whatever they like to/with their bodies, but the child has the right to choose and it takes a long time to be able to take decisions for yourself and suffer the consequences like an adult.
Just think about it...
